Born in Kaisariani, Athens, in 1957, Adamantidis spent part of his early life in South Africa before returning to Greece in 1972. He began his musical journey performing in Athens and later in Sweden, where he entertained Greek communities abroad. His career took off in the 1980s, and he has since released over 20 studio albums, becoming a staple in Greek music .
